Qu'est-ce que l'huile essentielle de tea tree ? Un petit génie australien anti-chéloïde dans une bouteille !

What is tea tree essential oil? An Australian anti-keloid genius in a bottle!

Tea tree essential oil is like the superhero of natural medicine. Imagine a little Australian tree with a cape, ready to fight nasty microbes and soothe skin irritations. In reality, it doesn't wear a cape, but it has incredible antiseptic, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory powers. We know these superpowers for acne, but did you know it's also very effective for keloids in your piercing?

What is a keloid?

It is a small ball that appears during the healing process (often 1 month after the piercing), it is an irritation of the healing canal forming a small pink or red ball most often at the level of the cartilage. Its appearance is due to several factors:

- You sleep on the ear that has just been pierced

- You changed your medical piercing for a ring or earring

- Irritations caused by neglected piercings

- Use of products that are too strong, not suitable for healing (prolonged application of antiseptic, Dakin, alcohol, etc.)

- Changing jewelry too quickly and not yet healed

To help you differentiate the appearance of a keloid from other minor healing issues, follow the guide and understand the difference between keloid, rejection and infection and optimize the healing of your piercing.

Step 1: Stop the irritation

Avoid friction as much as possible, do not touch it, do not move your piercing jewelry, earring or other ring, and more difficult, do not try to sleep on it (it does not like cuddles).

Above all, do not apply bandages to protect your piercing from friction; this increases inflammation and maceration.

Step 2: Preparation - Get out your anti-keloid arsenal tools!

Before you begin, make sure you have everything you need for your keloid-reduction mission. You'll need tea tree oil (the superhero), a carrier oil (your trusty sidekick), and cotton swabs or cotton applicators (your secret weapons).

Clean this small wound with physiological serum to gently remove any small crusts of lymph or blood that have formed.

If the small ball appeared after a change of jewelry, such as switching to a ring, do not hesitate to return to your piercer to replace it with a more suitable titanium or surgical steel piercing jewelry to finish healing, without pain or hypertrophic scarring.

Step 2: Dilution - Because even superheroes need a partner in crime!

Mix 1 to 2 drops of tea tree essential oil with 1 tablespoon of carrier oil , such as coconut oil or jojoba oil. It's like forming a dream team, where each member has their own role to play. Here, the carrier oil will provide moisturizing power.

Step 3: Application - The action begins!

Armed with your mixture, carefully apply it to the keloid. Imagine you're drawing a super healing symbol. Then let the superhero tea tree oil work its magic.

Step 4: Frequency of Application - Patience, young padawan!

Repeat this routine twice a day, morning and night, like a super ritual. Be patient—even superheroes need time to save the world (or in this case, shrink keloids).

Step 5: Medical Follow-up - If your keloid thinks it's the Joker...

If after a few weeks of treatment with tea tree essential oil, your keloid continues to play the supervillain, it's time to call a professional. Don't hesitate to visit your piercer to show them how the healing is progressing and ask for a solution tailored to your case. Sometimes, even Batman needs help from the police. For example, they may install a silicone disc if possible to protect your keloid from friction.

Precautions to take - Avoid glitches like a superhero avoids Kryptonians!

Tea tree oil is powerful, but don't overdo it. Always test on a small area, like your wrist, before diving into a full-blown keloid reduction mission. Remember to consult a healthcare professional if you have any concerns.

In conclusion - Tea tree essential oil, the superhero for problem skin!

Tea tree essential oil is a powerful ally in the fight against piercing keloids. So, with a little patience and a whole lot of botanical superpowers, you can help your skin look its best again!
